My comment about price is reflective of venice overall - the hotle was expensive but in comparison to other venice hotels fairly reasonable.

Our room was beautiful, the view from the window/deck was even enchanting.

I have told friends that we loved the room and the views from the window/deck, that the location was great, that it was worth the price, which for us was a splurge, that the breakfast was good (the server was very polite and helpful, by the way), and that we highly recommend the room.

The accommadation was extremely easier to get to from the train station. Was great as I was carrying quite a bit of luggage.

The staff was great even when I had to cancel the booking and then ask to uncancel it.

My daughter and I have stayed for a few days for the last three years at this Locanda, and find it excellent; good value, quite, in a nice part of Venice, and with pleasant rooms and an enjoyable breakfast. The staff are very helpful.

Venice is an expensive city, so also the accomodation is comparatively expensive
...
If no heavy luggage have to be carried, the hotel can be reached in a 20 minute walk
Close to the hotel is a small 'ferry' to the other side of the Grand canal (although not working while I was there)
