without doubt this is truly a most special and personal hotel with people who care and people who are dedicated towards making your time most precious.

words cannot describe this hotel, only by listening to those who have been can really tell you, besides time alone tells you that for generations people from all over the world have shared with this family the unique experience of sleeping dinning and being in the the very heart of venice.

more testimonials from those who have nothing but positive comments to make, those comments by the individuals who complain should be ommitted, due to the fact that they do not count, these people surely cannot fault this hotel, it is so warm friendly and accomadating, i personally have stayed in appartments hotels up to 5 star private houses and villas, all over venice, and never never have i felt so impressed as i have and do and will as i know the hotel saturnia it greatness is only exceeded by its potential.

This is a wonderful hotel - very atmospheric.
The room was large, lovely and in keeping
with the period of the hotel and had a
fabulous modern bathroom!
Very nice breakfasts and good access to the
Internet (although not in the room).

They have a lovely roof top terrace that is
not mentioned on the website. Access is hidden
behind the elevator on the 3rd floor - but its
worth checking out for a late afternoon rest
and to listen to the bells of the churches.

there are boat trips arranged by the hotel to take guests to the glass factory, and this is a really nice service for tourists.

nice traditional hotel with excellent service. Rooms are big with a high ceiling. The breakfast is wonderful, and the location is a great advantage over other hotels.

Well, Venice is expensive and this hotel is 2 blocks from the main square.

The first floor rooms all run off a central sitting area, where you can read and relax without being disturbed.
The hotel has been beautifully restored with a feeling of staying in a large villa in the middle of Venice. It was outstanding

An amazing hotel with beautiful clean rooms, which was impeccable. Our stay was amazing, the breakfast served was the best I have had in any hotel even better than the 5 star hotels I have stayed in. The exterior of the hotel is deceiving once you go in you are welcomed by beautiful furniture and fittings exactly what you would imagine an italian villa to consist of.

We arrived after midnight, it took us some time to find the place as the streets are of course more numerous than the maps we had. [Venice is not an easy place to find a specific street in]. Nevertheless the welcome was fine.

The one failing was the absence of a coffee bar / bar facility for late afternoon. Having been out all day we just wanted to come back to the hotel and relax. It appeared possible to do so, but our only attempt led to us waiting on the roof terrsce and no-one came. Shame because everything else was v.good, especially the evening dinner and the special pre-payment package 'extras'

Only problem - lacks a bar to relax in for afternoon coffee, pre-dinner and late-night drinks

There was a major refurbishment of the kitchen/restaurant taking place. So workmen using a buzzsaw outside our window first thing in the morning was not a pleasant experience.

Baggage storage service was very useful as checkout was at 1200hrs and our flight was not until the evening.

we are really happy with our stay in saturnia hotel. the hotel was beautiful it was situated in a very nice place,very short walk to san marco.the room we got was excellent.we would defenitely stay at saturnia again and use your site to look for hotels.

A little less charm in the rooms and passageways than we expected, but more spacious. Overall, we were pleased with our choice.

They were very accommodating. We checked out at 5:30 a.m. and they were there to help us and offered us breakfast to take with us on our trip to the airport.

we had to change rooms, because it was too noisy and small. But the new rooms were very nice and comfortable.

The room was a bit more 'old fashioned' furnished and provided with an older bath room compaired with the photoes on the website.

i requested a room with 3 single beds but our room was a twin with a roll-out which I did not consider suitable for an adult guest.
The hotel moved us the next day to a room with 3 single beds.

Our room was bare and characterless and the bathroom was cramped and poorly equipped. It was not the standard of accommodation I expect in a hotel of this category.
