The Island of the Lagoon of Venice, Santa Maria della Grazia:

Once the island was a hospice for pilgrims directed to the Holy Land and in the XV century became a monastery.

Its name is due to a miraculous image of the Vergin coming from Costantinopoli.

Today Santa Maria delle Grazie is occupied by an hospital for infectious desease.
