| | |  The surroundings of the inn are among the most characteristic of Venice, amongst a succession of picturesque lanes and squares lined with historic palaces, craftsmen's shops, and elegant boutiques. A pleasant stroll will lead you to the celebrated, and also lesser known (and perhaps more charming!), sites such as the Chiesa dei Miracoli, a jewel of Renaissance architecture adorned with splendid coloured marble. Five minutes away from the B&B is Campo Santa Maria Formosa (a 3-minute walk) with its beautiful church brimming with masterpieces of 1500s Veneto art and the Fondazione Querini Stampalia, seat of an important library and an interesting "museum house", beautifully restored by Carlo Scarpa and recently restructurated by Mario Botta. |

By Plane
From the "Marco Polo" airport (13 km)
The ATVO shuttle or the ACTV line 5 bus from the airport will bring guests to Piazzale Roma, the Venice car terminal. Then, take the ACTV line 82 boat for San Marco- Rialto and exitat the Rialto landing station. The Taverna San Lio is just 3 minutes from here. Continue on foot along Calle Larga Mazzini (in front of the landing station), turn left at the end of the lane and continue to Campo San Bartolomeo. Keep right and enter Sotoportego de la Bissa, then keep going, cross a bridge, continue another 100 meters and you're there. The Taverna San Lio is at 5547 Salizzada San Lio.
From the "San Giuseppe" airport of Treviso (30 km)
Take the Eurobus ATVO shuttle to Venice. After arrivingPiazzale Roma, the Venice car terminal, continue as above.
By Train
Arrival at the Venice "Santa Lucia" railway station After exiting the station, take ACTV line 82 boat for San Marco- Rialto and exit at the Rialto landing station. By Car
From the highway, after passing the toll barrier, follow the signs to Venice. After arriving in Venice, park your car in one of the Tronchetto parking areas (on the right, after the long Ponte della Libertà) or Piazzale Roma, the car terminal. Take the ACTV line 82 boat from Tronchetto and Piazzale Roma for San Marco-Rialto and exit at the Rialto landing station. Continue along the directions above. |
