Would advise vapparetto travellers to ensure boarding the correct waterbus at railway station/P de Roma, as mistakenly steaming accross the lagoon towards Murrano, bags in tow after long journey is not needed. (However afforded some beautiful dusk shots looking back toward Venice)

We found the hotel to be in an excellent location, with the clean, beautifully decorated room overlooking lagoon towards cemetry and Murrano.

As we were the last guests of the season, upon departure the owner shared a bottle of sparkling wine with us. A nice touch.

More could be made of the owners most pleasant disposition, and willingness to advise of (local) restaunts etc. Far away enough from hectic tourist areas to relax and see the real Venice, yet not 10 mins from the Rialto Bridge.

It was a very pleasant stay and the manager was very helpful in giving tourist information and even making a booking for us to visit the Scrovegni Chapel in Padua. He and the other staff always had a cheerful and friendly manner which was very pleasant.
The rooms were clean, attractive and well maintained.

A comfortable, friendly hotel with excellent access to the Vaporetta service and convenient for the Islands. Access to the main sites on foot takes only 15 - 20 minutes and there are local restaurants if you want to eat near the hotel in the evenings.

This hotel is a real find. Lovely, comfortable rooms & very friendly staff. Lovely view over the lagoon from my room, too. The only criticism would be the breakfasts - just bread & jam, but the good points far outweigh this!

The only other thing was that your website was very confusing - I wasn't sure whether I was contacting the hotel directly or not, as I had a couple of quotes back via your website - both from different people, and both very different prices!

You could hear street noise and the room above you a bit. The shower curtain does not stay in place - wet floor.

This hotel had an easy to find location, which is rare in Venice! The water bus stop is right outside the front door, which was nice to not have to search for the hotel pulling luggage. The room was clean and simply decorated, and the staff was helpful. Ask for an upstairs room to reduce street/neighbor noise for yourself. It was a 15-20 minute walk to the touristy areas which we liked because this place is more in a 'locals' area.

We arrived late morning and the room was already prepared for us. The normal time to get in to the room is 2pm so we were well pleased.
Not sure whether your web site covered this but it was far cheaper to catch a train and bus back and forth to the airport.

An excellent place to stay, very convenient to the water buses (stops right outside the hotel) and a nice little bar serving basic food just around the corner, a little further down the same walkway a really good restaurant both recommended by the manager of the hotel. The hotel is quite and away from the main tourist areas but these are only a short walk away.
The only slight complaint would be the breakfast and the breakfast area, but that didn't spoil the holiday at all.

The proprietor/receptionist was very helpful in giving directions and restaurant recommendations. The room was very clean,a little smaller than we expected, and although we did have air conditioning, it was not as cool as we would have preferred. The hotel is noisy in the morning and late at night with doors banging.

While a bit difficult to find and not in the most easy to access location, it was a beautiful place and the staff were nice. The breakfast could have been better, but it was similar to other 3 star places. This was what we expected for the price and much better than other 3 stars that we stayed in around Italy.

Victorian style hotel located on the waterfront. Very much like a bed and breakfast with your own bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was very poor, but as expected for a hotel from this era. We would stay there again because the staff were friendly, helpful and the place was clean and comfortable.

Would like to point out how wonderful the day time hotel manager was at the Hotel Vecellio, if my records serve correct his name is Secchi Matteo and he should be commended for making our trip more enjoyable. The day time manager at the Hotel Vecellio is the Hotel's greatest assets, he should be rewarded for being so helpful and friendly.

This hotel was very nice and the online photos pclearly portrayed what it is. Besides two complaints, this hotel was great. The bathroom was very small. In fact, the tightest space I have possible ever been in. The other downfall to our room specifically (room 1) was the noise level. We were located next to the front desk and the main door. When ever the door would open, it would make a noise that we heard clearly. We could hear voices constantly from the front desk area, and in the morning the cappacino machine.

The pictures on your web site were deceiving in as much as the rooms looked to be spacious and it was very small.
The air conditioner was not adequate and the room was very warm.
The bathroom was tiny and the sink plugs had been removed to prevent any guest from keeping water in the sink. The power control system means that energy is conserved when the guest is not in the room, but this means that the refrigerator is useless and the room is very hot each time you come back to it. THe closet door had to be wedged to keep it closed and there was no real place to put our suitcases. All in all a very disappointing stay.
THe breakfast provided was very good.
